Reading a shop number

The letter is the section. The number counts along the walkway. A slash means the trader has knocked two units together; a letter on the end means a subdivided unit.

    North sectionSingle-storey, open to the sky. Curtaining, menswear, leather and bag shops cluster here.

    Central BazaarThe three-storey circular building in the middle. Bridal, jewellery, crockery and kidswear.

    South sectionThe largest run of shops. Fabric, fashion, spice, footwear and most of the food.

  • KIOSK

    Walkway kiosksSmall freestanding stalls between the blocks — cellular, bedding, sweets.
